If you thought the New England Patriots loss to Kansas City was shocking, we got news for you! For the first time ever, the Evansville Museum is hosting “History Extravaganza” on September 10 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM this Sunday. There will be many presenters, hand-on activities for kids and adults, and booths of local historical organizations.

Jennifer Greene, university archivist, will be at one of the booths representing University Archives and Special Collections from David L. Rice Library. She will have numerous items from our collections for everyone to check out such as school report cards from the 1930’s, a German/Prussian World War 1 helmet, Edison phonograph blanks, U.S. Navy sailor uniforms and caps from World War 2, and many more!

This event does cost $12 for adults and $8 for children, unless you are a member of the Evansville Museum (411 SE Riverside Drive, Evansville, Indiana, 47713). For more information, go to https://evansvillemuseum.org/history-extravaganeza or on the Evansville Museum’s Facebook page and search for “History Extravaganza” under “Events”.
